What would be the minumum tank size for a single Ocellaris clownfish or a single percula clownfish that would give enough room for it to "swim and be happy". Thankyou!

15gl would likely be ok for the occellaris, but the for percs its recomended 30gal so I would say 20-25 would be fine.

hmm I was just searching around because my mom wants a clownfish and a saltwater set up so we can have a piece of the ocean at home. (we are scuba divers, gotta love living in Florida!) She wants the tank to be on the smaller scale though.... I was just thinking about what tank size I would need to do a FOWLR with one clownfish, a bunch of inverts, and possibly a starfish or two. Thanks guys!

for what your looking for get a 29 gallon bio-cube from oceanic you can have a small piece of the ocean and house some nice inverts and a few fish.

thank you guys and girls, I have another question my mom brought up, would this work in a 10 gallon with one fish and a couple of inverts.... My mom found a 10 gallon tank on craigslist, wanted me to find out if this would work. Oh and if this is possible would I be doing water changes every week with RO water (and of course salt mix)? I also understand that a tank this small would be a little more tricky and will require some extra care. Thanks!

tank size is not critical for percula clowns, I would lean toward a tank raised clown. Once they pick an item to host they don't stray too far. If you are going to buy 2 I would make sure one is larger than the other and they will get along fine.
