Yes Ive never tried chitlins before but the type Ive eaten is the Chinese styleI think that is what is known in the south as chitlins.
Interesting,I hope the cooked result does not smell the same.I have never eaten them but I had an older uncle who grew up down south and he would cook a pot of it nearly every weekend.It has such a strong(and unpleasant,to me) smell that would overtake the entire house.I felt like the smell was still on me after I left his house after each visit.Yes Ive never tried chitlins before but the type Ive eaten is the Chinese style

Says no bleach or brine, so I DID hear "they clean them with bleach." Whoa, that's some heavy duty cleaning.It's probably got collared greens on it instead of lettuce.
