Cobra feeding

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
haha, thanks for the comments everyone. now, to answer your questions:

A. Gigas, yes the female has gained some spunk and the male has calmed down more. The male still does not ride a hook at all and the female will sit still on a hook even if she is trying to kill me the whole time.

Blackshark, Any time you are in the area, I dont mind. I have two comfy couches and always love to show off my menagerie

TTTT, no, they eat frozen as well but these were the mice that the EDB's did not eat so I had to get rid of them somehow and I figured the cobras wouldn't mind an extra snack...

Sylvias, I think that mine are more calm because they are in cages where they can see me and are a bit more used to me and me working in their cages (changing water and spot cleaning etc). I think that rack systems tend to make snakes more agressive since they cannot see out of their cage and the only time they can they are messed with... Just a thought.

Oh his aren't actually aggressive at all and they definitely know him. The racks they are in are clear or translucent and every time I walked by I would hear "THUNK, THUNK" as each one struck at me in turn lol but he would walk in there.... nothing... I am convinced it's because they knew him. And once they were out of the rack and realized it wasn't feeding time they were like corn snakes! Probably one of the most amazing things i've ever seen... taking a snap at anyone was the last thing on these snakes minds when he had them out, and to get them to hood up for pictures he basically had to smack em on the head to get em pissed off lol
(thats over exaggeration, I don't want anyone to think he actually beats his cobras)

BUT, when there is smell of rodent in the air..... stand back when opening those cages lol

Sweet vid!!

sweet vid, I loved it when the female came out of hiding all flared up and ready to fight, I watched the rattlesnake one too, that was very neat

thanks for sharing!

lol, love it. NEXT VID we need to see Julio (thinks that is the iggys name) roaming in his domain. I want to see him pose.

Thanks guys.

Beautiful snakes.

Where did you get the warning stickers from?

you can find them at reptile shows and online. I think it is Home Grown Herps that always has them at the shows I go to but I have seen other vendors selling them too.
