the upside o feeding koi pellets: my goldfish have great color and growth

the downside: its 10x messier than any flake food ive ever fed them

any cleaners that can thrive in the cooler goldfish tank? i know snails can, as i kept snails and goldies for quite sometime, however they dont do good at eating the food right away.

Try feeding WAY less...I feed pellets 1 time per day (very light at that) 4-5 days a week....I still think I feed way too much....

even if i feed one pellet, they manage to make a mess of it. apparently nobody ever told goldfish its rude to chew with your mouth open

im not sure about common plecos
but ive had mine survive in 22 degrese
for a few mounths
so im sure that would work
and mabey a cray fish?

My daughter has a 55 gallon tank with fancy goldfish. She's had this tank for a little over a year and she also has 10 Corydoras catfish. Some of them are bronze colored and some are albino. They are about 1.5 inches long. They also come in many different colors and some are spotted. She's never had a problem and they do keep the bottom pretty clean. What temperature is your water. Her tank isn't heated but her catfish are thriving. Just a thought, The Doctor.

I read they are too but for some reason they do fine in cooler waters. I have several friends that have cory cats in tanks with goldfish and they've never had any problems.
