Ever thought of a few snails, they should help eat some uneaten food.

I think snail would take to long. Remember, snails are slow so they wouldn't be able to eat all the food before the water gets cloudy. If you use snails, you are going to have to have the whole bottom of the tank layered with snails in order to get to all the food on the bottom. The Doctor.
