awesome, tell me how it goes. Ive been there once but its 1-2 hours away from where i live.

Being from Southern CA originally (North Orange County) I can tell you that the most prevelant spieces are mostly sunfish family fishes and catfish. If you are sticking to freshwater stuff - that's the most popular kinds you will find.

Now someone else mentioned other spieces that I have not seen nor caught in the past, but again - google you area and see what it has to offer.

hit up the aqueduct in hesperia. cats, sunnies and tule perch. also the occasional striper.

puddingstone lake in san dimas <sp? bihind Raging Waters. holds crappie, sunnies, lrg mouths, cats. shad, crayfish...ect.

paris lake has a good bluegill population for fishing. and there big, like 2-3lbs!...so if you dont fish, try it!lol.

I fish all the time here in socal and have helped friends catch fish for their tanks. The best places to catch sufish and bluegill are park lakes. They always have a ton of bluegill in them as well as some smaller bass. Check out your local park lake and you shouldnt have a problem catching them.

i live in central cali and i always catch cats, bluegills and bass at my local lake. its pretty easy to catch them. i hardly use weights and bobbers. aquaduct imho holds too many larger fish too big to keep in the home tank. local ponds and lakes are the best. good luck and watch out for the wardens!!!!

i went to lake balboa in sepulveda and caught 4 small fish! :woot:

Problem is i have no idea what they!!!! They are medium bodied, kinda long fish. they have 2 horizontal stripes and little vertical stripes going through the first horizontal stripe. They are silverish.

anyone know what they are?? and how should i adjust them to their tank? :help2:

they changed color...

Now they have a lot of vertical broken stripes (the stripes stop at random points and then continue lower down), a small, dark spot on their dorsal fin. Their eyes have some orange in them.

anyone know what they are? :feedback:

i took a pic, its not very good though...
