yeah he constantly changes dark, light, etc. Never constant. it digs like crazy too. I did notice that some areas of the body pearls don't quite shine, they are dull. $10 dollars well spent tho. I still like em. He was basically a rescued fish lol. Wondering if it's female cause of the black dot on dorsal. Been thinking about tossing it in with some other fish now that I've had him for a while. Just tinfoils, some balas and my jags, but not sure about jags lol. How aggressive do the green texas get?

In the pecking order in my tank it's flowerhorn, polleni, then the Texas. It's actually a chill little fish but will stand up for itself if it's picked on. And 10 bucks! That's a steal! Got mine for 30. Mine is a female and it does have black in the back of the dorsal. I think this works like 80% of the time in sexing them.

Yeah I heard the dorsal spot isn't 100% venting is the only way. I think I'm going to try housing him later with some fish. I think he's happy being by himself for now. I didn't think they were too bad. What are the max sizes on the shortbody green texas?
I wouldn't know cuz mine is still growing out but I think it's around 5 or 6 inches. That sounded bad....lol
