Truly inspiring collection. Makes me want to get back into PBass looking at your set up.

Thanks! Words are too kind!

R1, your collection is what got me into cichla so getting praise from you means a lot! You need to get back into cichla!

Nice collection...!!! Love your G. Braziliensis

you mean the punching bag? lol. i'm surprised he's survived this long. when the orino was moved to this tank, he almost tore the geos eye out. it was pretty gross. he's made an impressive recovery since then and even bullies the kelberi around.

very nice cichlas,i like that kelberi and azul

The bahia aren't growing very fast so I haven't posted an update of them. I've been tied up with stuff so I haven't been able to dedicated as much time to converting them as I normally would. Now that things have settled, I hope to convert them by the end of the month. Wish me luck!

I believe all male kelberi do eventually develop the hump but I could be wrong....for me, it just screams "give me someone to mate with" and that's what I'm hoping will happen when I put the female in there.
How long did you have that kelberi before you notice a bump? My Kelberi is well over 3 yrs old at 17" but still no hump. I hope it stays like this.:)

I think my kelberi are under 2yrs old. The humps just started to develop recently and seem to really grow when I do water changes. Have you sexed your kelberi?

I was just thinkin, aside from the pix neo posted of the bahia parents, I don't remember seeing any other pix of kelberi's being posted with humps. I don't mean in the wild. there are plenty of those pix. I'm talking about kelberi in captivity. Maybe these two are just weird
