no need for a college degree when there is an infinite amount of knowledge on the internet.

PeacockBass said:I disagree, atleast here in the USA. finishing anytype of school does not prepare you for living. Depending on the actual curriculum, most just teach you a certain subject.
"You will definitely need to know research if you are going to search the internet. "
yes this is true, and I should hope everyone has this skill. knowing how to research is common sense.
This is a skill, not a common sense. People are not born know how to research on the internet.
"Be able to calculate, and to solve problems"
that comes with IQ.
Not true. Everyone is not born with this skill. It has to be learned. When you were born, you did not know how to add or subtract in mathematics.
poise and composure is hard to find, atleast in my experience. people think to much with their emotions and morals.
College and life experience teaches you these skills. They kinda go hand in hand with having true colors of yourself.
"To be able to see the big picture so that you can have a better understanding of what surrounds you."
yes, correct. but in modern society this is farfetched and people are to closeminded. basically ignorant. in my experience people dont like to learn anything more then what they feel they "need" to know.
Don't associated yourself with "close minded" people. I am sure someone as smart as you is aware of the process called osmosis. People only listen to someone who has something worth listening to.
"True colors of a person shows in difficulty, and not when he is having fun."
incorrect, everything a person does can be considered "true colors", it is human nature.. what happens in a difficult time is their reaction to that experience. just as their reaction to having a fun experience.

College degrees are absolutely necessary unless you have a great network of people who can pull strings for you and get you the job you want, but that's not always the easiest way of getting the job. People def. look at college degrees as a top priority for certain positions.![]()
