College Degrees

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just got my BA in History and I'm a Math and Science teacher for juvenile delinquents. Oddly enough, fishkeeping is getting me more use in the class room than my History degree. My science class is getting ready to create the Amazon River, an African Lake, and a North American Lake. Just waiting to get the 150 or 200 gallon tank for the class room.

I am a biotech major. it doesn't directly relate to fish or fishy things but my reef tank and the huge amount of research that I did for my tank often help me understand filtration concept, bio mass levels and like a thousand other things I cant think of now.
I graduate in june and I am looking for a job now. Aquaculture and mericulture are neat ideas I would love to work with aquacultured corals or fish.

Hiya Damia, welcome to MFK.

I dont know what I want to do yet, but, something art, graphic design or computer applications would be cool.

My dream is going into animation though, im going to try for it.

What i would love even more would be to do what they did on that movie the life aquatic, or the whole jaques cousteau lifestyle.

None of my interests are in high demand or valued by society though....

my conclusion, everyone is stupid but me ^_^ :D just kidding.

My degree is in medical laboratory sciences. I work in a blood bank presently.
My education has been most helpful to my fish. Chemistry was a BI-CH. But, it and microbiology are the two sciences that I use most on my tanks.
No I don't stick people, just tubes.

Most people are not lucky enuff to get paid well for doing someting they luv. My suggestion is find a well paying job that pays well. Then u can spend all ur money on what u enjoy.
