College life

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
gonna bump this.
half way through this semester. taking 4 classes, working for the university, doing math tutoring on the side and "working" as an "unofficial" (not being paid) TA for a freshmen/sophomore course.
i thought this semester was going to be tough but its not. my classes are pretty laid back and a lot of the material is kind of just "clicking".
my poor gf is only taking two classes and dying. she lucked out with a pompous instructor that feels he needs to make a relatively easy, elective course into the hardest class possible.

ugh almost done.

we both graduate in May... finally!

Anyone else going to college?
I'm in my 4th year right now and I hate my life lol
I still have about 2 years to graduate. And by graduate I mean start grad school.
Wake up, go to class, do some homework, go to sleep, repeat.
On the weekends wake up, water changes, do some homework, go to work, do some homework at work, go to sleep, repeat.

Enjoy it now. Best years are the college years. That routine only gets worse when you are out in the world working....enjoy the freedom and the fun.

that whole year was a pretty rough year. i was just starting to take the real hard classes at that time.
i feel pretty good this year. no only because I'm about to graduate but because I'm understanding a lot more of what I'm doing. its all finally coming together. that and I'm not working on homework all day every day.
i dont hate my life right now haha.

The best part is the time you spend chasing girls. Enjoy that time because you'll miss it when you get older and settle down. Wow your wild oats you my buck! ;)

haha well....
I've been with my gf for a little over 6 years now... so the time prior to meeting her, chasing girls was fun. but I've done no girl chasing in college.
just knowledge chasing.

Sounds rough. I had to do the same thing for 8 years, but had to add in work, so my days went like this.

Wake up, go to work, go to class, do some homework, go to sleep, repeat.
On the weekends wake up, go to class, water changes, do some homework, go to work, do some homework at work, go to sleep, repeat.

Just wait, it gets even less fun after you graduate. Wake up, go to work for 10 hours, come home, make dinner, eat, clean up, go to bed, and repeat. Just wait until you add a girlfriend and/or wife and kids to the equation. You will get nothing accomplished.

Perfectly stated. Man enjoy your ungrad years man trust me because once your done and pursue your career job... your going to miss those days you can just go to classes.

My work hours are from 8:30-3:40pm but man Pharaoh explained exactly what I do when I get home minus the kids.

Good luck with your studies though ehh, man physics is definitely demanding.

EDIT: Another great thing was that I finished my undergrad years with my girlfriend with the same major and career pathway so it wasnt too bad. CC=campus couples are the best. Carpool driving/parking, sharing meals, break time, and etc.
