Color enhancement

Does color enhancement like astaxanthin have health related impact?

Astaxanthin is a carotenoid. Plants can create it, most animals get it from food. It's how animals get red color. Different carotenoids are there which are needed for various colors. It can be synthetic or natural. Many foods use either or both. I wouldn't go with synthetic my self.

I have tried hikari blood red parrot plus, krill pro and NLS ultrared. I found NLS ultrared was best for my flowerhorns color, I supplement it with NLS algaemax.

I didn’t either. I was reading the labels on my fish food and a couple of them have it but not sure what other red enhancements are in it or not

im just guessing but all the vitamins, amino acids and minerals in it would possibly help fish color

Fish don't get color other than brown/black from anything other than carotenoids. Low quality or old food lacks vitamins and extra dose of vitamin just brings them to better health.

Vitachem is multivitamin geared towards fish.
