When will my mono get color he has a little yellow on his tail he is at about the 4"mark

6-8" IME.They get their very best colour and pattern at 14"

ok thank you because down in florida in february next year at the state fair im thinking of entering him in the fish competition hope he has good colors by the time its about 10 months from now he should be over 12" right?
