Looking to do my 120 gallon 4 foot tank in colorful fish or fishes, I heard mbuna need a 6 ft tank, saw a huge tank full of male fancy tail guppies that was cool. Looking for ideas

Mbuna could be possible

Africans - peacocks or Malawi haps are the most colorful fresh water fish imo. I have a Malawi predator 150 that I love.

Kyoga flamebacks community... could do 4 pairs and then a few other peacocks and a Malawi eyebiter for fry population control.

Mbuna do not need a 6 foot tank, a mbuna community would work fine in a 4' 120. All-male peacock community would be cooler IMO. But whicheber you prefer.

I agree if you want the color Haps and Peacocks will not disappoint you, but must do thorough research prior if you don't have experience with African cichlid's.☺

How aggressive are haps and peacocks? Could I add a male or two at a time or is it best to add em at once? I have two 50s I could buy a couple and grow them till I can sex them, I hear mbuna needs to be added all at once
