Fair enough.Jessica Dring;1258427; said:Sorry but this comment is rather sad. It's disgusting you think you can keep an animal (especially such an active one) in a cage HALF its size for it's ENTIRE life.
How would you like to be placed in a 3 foot cage from now until the day you die..seriously. Don't say its different..'cause it most certainly is not. That is just cruel for such a large animal.
Boggy, For a species that gets that size, no, your looking at 6x3x4 (as they do climb) at LEAST.
My boa (being male & having small parents) really should average out 6/7 feet, but I'm ready and expecting alot bigger. How ever smallit averages out, plans are still a 12x4x4 for this animal, not to mention the amount of time it will be out.
Please just imagine how you would feel squeezed into such a viv. Yeah, snakes are bendy, but just because they can squidge into small spaces does not mean they should be housed for how many years? like that.(20 I think).
I bet somebody could squidge you into a 3x3, I mean god even in a 6x4 it would be utter hell for the rest of your life. Please just consider that before you decide to put such a large animal in such a small viv. Boas and larger pythons actually need more space than their length at they are active snakes. I'm not having a go, I just want to help you understand that its not fair.
Do not get one 'cause you have a spare viv going, get one 'cause you really like 'em and have the space![]()
