Columbian Shark Catfish

That is very strange but maybe being two males/two females makes a difference.sorry for your loss .mine are now over a foot and i believe they are a pair even though there has been no known breeding in captivity,;... they are in full brackish,,, i thought of adding other fish but decided not to,,..these guys are so active that i think it would make any thing else miserable.. they dart with out warning sometimes... they eat everything and they are extremely healthy so why upset the tank anyway...

That is very odd. I have two and they are now about 9" long. They love to be by each others side and rarely are they ever apart. Never have I seen any signs of aggression from these two. Probably two of the most laid back fish I have in my tank.

same with mine ...they love each other.
 
I dont know...but sometimes when i would watch them I would the dominant one chase the other one away from his territory and they would do this dance where its like one attacks the other one and the other one circles him to attack him and then the other one retaliates by circling him and they would circle each other for like a few seconds throwing pecks at each other until one would break it off and swim away....:nilly::confused:

I dont know what happened...but he wants to be alone it seems.:(
 
Thats kinda strange as i have 3 columbians in full marine and they have always been together almost always touching each other 24/7 for aprox 5 years now.. and my scat has been with them for 5 years as well (man that scat is fat but a slow grower to the max).. i recently had to move the colubians because my morrish idol decided he did not like the cats and they had peck marks all over them.. a week in a diffrent tank and they were back to normal

yours are full marine... i did not know they could go full salt.. thats great...have any pics of them...
