I was recommended the watchmen,its a graphic novel from way back that was a big deal.Believe it or not the buffy the vampire comics read very well.I got the first graphic from them and I like the read and art.I hated the show but the comic has a writer everyone seems to like.Im showing interest in bprd and hellboy.Also Iron Fist.Omega the unknown is one I just got all of except # 3.I cant find it so I guess ebay or something................................I looked at some manga and such.I dont like the always upskirt style and the schoolyard name calling fighting words,sounds all cheesball to me.I like the dialog better in things like,well,some of the ones I named but thats the thing here.Im still looking.As far as the mang it looks interesting but is it filling my hormones with nakey chicks or is it really a quality read?
 
I think what resparked my interest in comics other than the art was I always want to write a book and short stories and these things weather non nerds believe it ,have some good writing.Good stories.It also is a way to escape reality for an hour.Anyways,I would love to write some stuff and get it out there but have no idea how to or if its even possible.My life has been crazy and my imagination is even crazier so I think I can use my past and mix it with some bs and get something real good out of it.But how?
 
watchmen is so awesome. Planetary and this other series that was written by alan moore about this superhero city built by the nazis and taken over from them..Can't remember what it's called....Of course V for Vendetta is good.

Im interested in planetary,hey,I started getting Iron Fist and I like how it reads and the art but I hear the writer is leaving and a diferent guy will take over.Will that mean its gonna suck now or are they obligated to keep it close to how it was.You think they wouldnt be so dumb as to change whats selling good.Oh and the watchman is very good so far,even only on page 10 or so and its a page turner.Who knew a comic could be so interesting.I dont think alot of ppl know it but some are very good reads.
 
aliens vs predator, predator series from Dark Horse, the Crow, X-men, like Marvel more than DC except for Batman.
 
spawn, x men, spiderman, batman....i gotta find some of my old stuff, tons of signed and artork by artists too.
 
hey thats 2 guys in san jose.Anyone else read watchmen,very good so far.The other guys from cali too,lol.

you should try reading mangas (japanese comic books). there are more genres to choose from (not just superhero stuff) and most of them IMO have much better art and stories compared to american comic books. you can read most of them for free online at sites like onemanga.com.

True! Parasyte, Battle Royal, FLCL, just to name a few... they make good anime series too :D
 
I need to talk to someone who actualy owns watchmen.I want to see if you noticed something strange to me.
 
Well i finally finished the watchmen book,very good.Finished the Omega The Unknown series also very good and unique.Read the 2 old school Indiana Jones omnibuses.Right now I am reading Zot,its another old classic and a page turner so far.I read one called shmobots,lol,it was a potty mouth adult nakey robot thing,lol.I did not know it when I bought it,it was not my style of read but some was funny,dont buy it.So anyone else been reading any good ones or recommend old ones?
