I'm going to toss some to my Oscar tomorrow and see how he likes it. They should definitely be a little bigger though, as this food is very close to the size of and Excedrin tablet.

Okay I'm looking forward to your results. I can't wait to get my oscar!

OK, here's my thoughts.

This stuff is kinda hard upon first inspection. I tossed a few pellets into the tank. Come to find out, my O is still a bit small to eat them. The clown knife took a bite, spit it out, then ate a piece or two. The veija ate two pieces almost immediately. The plecos like it for sure.

I'm figuring, if the clown knife and the vieja at it on the first try after just being moved from rallysmans to my house, then the Oscar should be all over it.

Had a sample (read tub) of the 10mm delivered today, compliments of CICHLID FOOD CANADA based out of Red Deer, Alberta. Thanks a bunch, RD. :D

I'll be starting a thread to document what my fish think of it and what I think of it. :)

No prob Gerry, can't wait to read/see your results. If you don't mind, please pop in & post your results (good or bad) later this week on AA as well. There's an ongoing discussion in my sponsor sub-forum. Thanks!
I look forward to reading your results over here on MFK as well. :)

With regards to feeding O's, personally I would recommend the floating 4.5mm Jumbo Fish or the 7.5mm Extra Large Fish formula, over the 10mm Mega Fish formula. Most oscars will have a much easier time consuming the smaller, less firm/dense, floaters, and find them far more palatable. The 10mm Mega is better suited to large fish, that won't mess around at eating time. Large catfish, stingrays, carnivorous plecos, datnoids, pbass, etc. I've already had some cichlids smash the 10mm back with no issues, but the results will most likely vary depending on the individual fishes size, and aggression level when eating.

I would agree. its gonna take a pretty big fish to get these down in one bite.

Looks like our first order of 10mm will be headed out the door. I will be ordering more today.

I got mine yesterday and tried them this morning. The pbass aren't used to it yet. They'll chew on it then spit it out a few times. Not sure if anyone eventually ate it. My geo did the same thing to it. Going to mix it in with my massivore to see if I can get them to eat it.
