hey i did not think it would get that big. i was planning on getting rid of it when it got about 6 inches, but since it was winter when it reached that length, i am planning on getting it into a larger tank if i can find someone in the area that has a large tank and wants a pleco that big. i might give it to my friend when they build their pond in their backyard. the pond they are planning is 4 ft across and probably about 3 ft deep or something like that.

wow that is a little overreacting. i admit in the beginning i did not do enough research on them. and when i got my current pleco, i did not expect it to grow about 5 inches in 9 months. it is healthy for now and it will do fine for another month or two until i can find someone that has a big enough place to put him.
I'd say you've done nothing in the way of research because any site worth its salt will steer noobs in the direction of bristlenoses. Two or three months???? put it in the freezer and save it from impending doom.ryanj612;3953806; said:
