compatibility in question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Dempsey's have been the most aggressive of any cichlid I've owned(GT's, Firemouths, Convicts, Nicaragua's, oscars...), but have also been the coolest in interacting. The Danios may act as decent dither, but once he hits a good size he wont care about them at all and only show aggression toward similar sized fish.. Also this doesn't seem to be the norm, but my Jack hates pleco's, I've tried common, hi-fin, and brushnose and all were destroyed. But he doesn't mind my African featherfin cat which looks a lot like a pleco. My jack was a tride and true killer in his youth (6-8") but now at 2yrs old seems to have calmed down alot, and doesn't bother any tank mates(haven't tried plecos again though).

thanks guys, i went ahead and took the JD back, my GT has shown 0 aggression to any other fish in the tank and the pleco who hadn't moved out of one corner of the tank with the JD around is now incredibly active, i think it was for the best
