amusing you on a windows pc

Start menu> Run>type MSCONFIG> Click your start up tab> de-select all. Restart. Should run faster and temporarily allow you to uninstall programs.. Again assuming that you can't uninstall becuase its in "use" or something along thoselines. Ram is now very cheap now a days, and older computer parts can be found for pennys. upgrading ram is only a few screws. Second, De-frag your computer. Do this before you sleep, it will take a few hours if you haven't done this in a while... or ever. If your feeling bold. Re-installing your OS will bring your laptop to like new condtions, however please back up your drivers, especially for wireless. if possible Click Start>run>CMD it opens a black screen (terminal) can you tell me what that says. On a side note, make an effort to use an apple in the future.

Hehe um, this laptop was a present from a student i had from Suadi Arabi about 4 years ago,, I have no disks as it was all loaded there... Yes its windows... My defrag thing is set to atomatic...I ran CMD... it says microsoft windows version 6.0.6002.....copyright c 2006 microsoft corp

I found a thing on my pc... Avast....its now going crazy with virus's being detected, 7th time now, reccomends moving to chest

Nelly, You can very easily uninstall that program. If your Windows uninstaller isn’t cutting it, you can’t lose with this one. It’s totally free and is good:

As for your pc going horribly slow, here are some good programs to run:
Ccleaner: http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER

Registry cleaner: http://abexo-free-registry-cleaner.en.softonic.com/

Advanced System Care (all in 1): http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-SystemCare-Free/3000-2086_4-10407614.html

I have used them all, and they are excellent. I have an old @ss Gateway, and its as fast as the day I got it.

This fragmenter is better and more efficient then your regular Windows one:

Ok the avast found 11 items, including virus and trojans, i removed them all,,,started up again, still slow as hell...tried ,Start menu> Run>type MSCONFIG> Click your start up tab> de-select all. Restart...went crazy with things like google earth trying to install etc....now im downloading http://abexo-free-registry-cleaner.en.softonic.com/
see what happens with this

Yes, Avast antivirus is pretty good. If this site will not open on your pc is definetly sounds like you have a virus. First, do a system restore. Sometimes the virus is sneaky, and erases all the restore points that were created before it infected your system. Download that avast and try the system scan and see where that takes you. You can also try manually deleting it via Safe Mode.

Sometimes those free scanners do not do as an effective job. You usually get what you pay for. I have has sucess with Pareto Logic's Pc Health Advisor. It does cost cash money, but it's one of the best programs I have yet to discover. It will remove your virus. But before you do that, you don't have anything running while your surfing the net do ya? Look in windows task manager. Even if you constantly put your pc on standby, opposed to actually logging off, you are wasting memory.
