Computer Controlled Aquarium

Hi everybody,

I need everyone's help. I am currently creating a piece of software for my final project for university. The software would allow the user to connect their computer to a single aquarium and allow the user to monitor and control the aquarium. A programmable USB board would be the link between the aquarium and the tank. I will not be developing the hardware side of the system i am more interested in the software side. A simple program will be created to simulate the functions of the hardware. Along with monitoring and controllling the aquarium the software will also allow you store information about the tank and the fish in it. This is where you guys come in.

I need your input as part of the creation of the system. If you could please spare 5 minutes of your time to fill out the questionnaire I'll be very very grateful. Its only 5 multiple choice questions and an open ended question at the end.
