but yea, i think arnold's conan is one of those where they did it so well that you just can't repeat it. like for example, if they were to remake Scarface. how do you do that? who do you use to play the role and do it right? you just can't

same with total recall, makes no sense to me the more i think about it. which is why i think it will bomb just like the conan remake. i will watch total recall eventually just because i'm a fan of the original and also so that i can compare the two and see how good or bad they do on the remake

Yeah,the only advantage the remakes will have over the origs is the special effects which were,state of the art,but somewhat cheesy back then.

i agree, but at the same time, the special effects can mean squat also. look at clash of the titans remake. it's a crappy remake. even the special effects of today couldn't save that film. sad really to do that to the original. as i've stated before, the medusa in the new one, and also the half man half goat bad guy, they aren't even worthy of making me a sandwich compared to the originals

speaking of which, i hate how they make comic book character movies, but they keep bringing back the same villain in the sequals! (for example fantastic 4, they brought back Dr. Doom and Spiderman should've moved away from Goblin already) WHY??? there is so many things to choose from, why bring back the same damn guy when there are so many more awesome villains to choose from???

I love comic book movies but agree with you on this. Magneto was/is over used in X-men and Lex Luthor in Superman movies

^ dude, i love comic book movies, i love the idea of putting the comics on screen. which is why i'm so passionate about it when the screw it up.

superman has so many villains to choose from, and with today's special effects, godammit, why can't they make a superman movie to end all superman movies???!!! i was really really pissed off at the fantastic 4 sequal. i couldn't friggin believe that the bad guy was dr doom again, yea there was the silver surfer thing but still, move on from your first film's villain already. i mean, as crappy as the batman movies were after keaton and before bale, at least they kept bringing in new villains.

anyways, i haven't looked much into it but they are coming out with a new superman movie, i don't know who the villain is gonna be though. i wish they'd just do friggin darkside or doomsday already man. or even metallo or bizarro

I vote for Solomon Grundy as the villain in the new Superman film.......What about Judge Dredd? That was on earlier and I don't know much about the comic so I'm wondering how it compared to it.
