I'm not saying you're right or wrong. I understand it's not your fish. But that fish pictured is a parachromis. Attached is my pair of umbee and grammodes. I also attached my young male and female motaguense. I'm interested in seeing more pictures of these fish. Don't get me wrong, I'd REALLY love to see this hybrid but I think you acquaintance has misinformed you.

the first fish is a dovii, like brandon is saying. I also understand its not ur fish and its not on you. lol, but its very interesting because the pictured fish certainly looks very motaguensis

He has sold the umbee but I have no doubt it was an umbee, he is umbee mad!-)
