pressure_cooker;3099660; said:try checking the other forum, i just saw a xback/malaysian golden that has a yellowish tail.

pressure_cooker;3099389; said:now explain why crossing a RTG to a XB would help increase the shine of a XB arowana? go ask a asian arowana farmer about that. XB a hybrid, i dunno about that.
todays xb is still a malaysian golden improved and bred by the asian arowana farmers based on the desire quality of the farmer or the buyer and even the trend, maybe in the future they will once re introduce the classic looks of asian arowana ( if asian arowana fans would want that )
malaysian goldens today are improved over the classic malaysian goldens by selective breeding and inbreeding by asian arowana farmers. still they are malaysian goldens, or xb or pahang gold or gold gold. or whatever name you want to call but at the end of the day it is still a malaysian golden.
Of course they'll tell you what you like to hear, like "improve"
jlnguyen74;3099915; said:Who say crossing a RTG and XB will increase the shine? Crossing is more about quick buck. Like a farm will tell you, "Well we cross the Malaysian Golden to a RTG because we couldn't find a Malaysian Golden to breed with it."Of course they'll tell you what you like to hear, like "improve"

pressure_cooker;3099986; said:hayssss... your replies do confirm that you really have small or no understanding about asian arowanas. Malaysian Golden is just another term for XBACK, if what you claim is true, then there should be no xbacks in the market.. and if is crossed to a rtg then it would only have a 5-6th level of shine that don't cross. farms tag these cross as HBRTG. there are ponds full of pure xback which is another term for malaysian golden. which produce a baby malaysian golden or xback. just because an xback/malaysian golden as redish/orange tail it means a cross between a xback/malaysian golden and rtg. have you watch farmers harvest their prized arowanas?
and why would i use/post someones picture without authorization? you can check it yourself.
and try asking the vendors here about their 24k golds being a product of rtg and a xback/malaysian golden.
