In aqualog schafer describes the .sp.aff as the one with the coronet
Coronet is such an old word. Had to look it up and it's just a crown.
Me and sam just waiting on you to take use to your african expedition, lolzLol i dont remember what thread it was since we all have like 5 discussions on the same topic going in multple threads but was reffering to you saying you felt that the differences in congi were more genetic than anything. Maybe i confused it... sid you mean differences in my/our congi were gentic because of whats available to us.
So there are 3 different variants/species that are atleast known of ? Thats pretty cool and interesting.
We need boots in the ground !!!! Who going to africa to take a look at all these rivers and water ways !

I believe this PBB is the Turkana variant.Thank you Hao for bringing these up undescribed species that need to be scientifically identity. Especially, the 'sp. aff Congicus' and the 'sp. Onigo' (larger wide head than PBB). There's many videos with PBB with massive heads and looks different than our traditional PBB that we see.
Question - are there photos and videos of a 'sp. Onigo' that some label as a PBB(a nile bichir)?
PBB have this elongated narrow head shape from the top view.

Hao Here's one of the most popular searches on the Web on YouTube . It's massive 28 incher and wide everywhere including the head. It's not like what we see. Would this be a certain undescribed specie similar to the bichir bichir complex?
