How do you plan on framing it?

Also,
55+55=???
120?
I don't get it.

He is adding a 12" x 12' x 20" of volume to the tanks, which is about 12 gallons.

First of all, ive been looking at diy plans for wet/dry ofcourse with an overflow but I'm not quite sure about something. Does the overflow just fit on or is it part of the tank?

Second: I'm working on dia-up so pics will have to wait untill monday. I can't upload them from this dial-up computer.

Third: That would be wicked sick and I've already thought about it.

Fourth: I'll use the plastic framing already in place along with angleiron (actually copper) at the corners.

Fifth: As I said earlier it's hard to understand without a visual, but trust me it will be 120 and not just 110. (bderink has the right idea)

:duh: ok, i get it. I missed the part about the extra box. I thought that he was gonna cut a foot off the front pane of one tank and take the end pane off the other to connect them together. So, he is gonna take the end pane off each tank and connect them both to the "add on" box? That makes sense then. Sorry for being a moron.

I've thought of doing this tonnes of times, I will like to do it one day. Maybe so it doesn't explode you can box it in with some metal reinforcing on the bottom.

If I might make a suggestion in the seams....

Run a 2 inch 'patch' strip of glass & silly-cone it in place on the bottom & back, where you will be butt jointing the glass.

i was just gunna suggest the same, but wicked idea

Just a though, but have you though about how you will move this tank after it is built.
