The only way I could see it happening is if the toilet flooded the whole house up to the hight of the cistern, if that happens the least of my concern would be the fish tank.

This is amazing. Great idea, just wondering how big the tank is? What happens if you get sick and need to use the toilet lots? Or a night of heavy drinking/ partying lol.

The tank is 800L or about 215 us gals, this won't happen till my daughter moves out, so it will be just me and the wife.

sounds like a great idea … good use of old tank water. the tank would need to be set at the same height as the toilet cistern, also the water would need to refil into the tank not the cistern.
