o and even thou Cons breed like guppys it dosent mean yours will they need to match up with a similar aggression and size Con and then you will have millions!

I just had a male and female (male at 1.5 inches and female at 1 inch) spawn in my 55g tank. I also had 2 males and 2 females in my 55 (before I had my current stocking list) and the alpha male spawned with the alpha female and the sub alpha female. I had the just add water cons. give it some time and they will mate and have **** ton of babies!
give them some time, if you in fact have a male and female, then they will certainly make babies, trust me 
IMO these fish are the easiest to successfully breed. fins i feel have nothing to do with sexing these species. both sexes can have very nice finage, and awesome coloration. males however lacking the "orange belly" can be just as colorful in blue fins or throats. i wish you the best of luck on your pair, usually just add water and the do their thing

I think people underestimate how much cons will breed...because I surely did. Cons once took over my 55 gallon tank, and I had to eventually take all of them out and donate to my LFS.
