I live in Texas where 60 year olds claim they have never seen snow in their life(pre 2000)... now suddenly it snows 3-4 times since the year 2000. I've missed plenty of work lately over the last few years because of Ice storms. Even tonight it will be down in the high 30's compared to many times in the past when it would run in 80s and 90's just before Christmas.
One place may not be an indicator, but how can one say the Earth is getting warmer when just as many places are getting colder as the ones getting warmer? It's called balance.
If Mr. Al Gore was so worried, why does he fly all around the world in those Jets pushing his crap? He has more damage to the Earth just in the last 10 years then what I will do in my ENTIRE life.
your looking at it completely wrong. the term global warming doesn't mean every place get hot all the sudden. certain locations on the planet are more susceptible to the the effects of green house gasses reflecting heat energy back down on to planet, and when one are heats it creates thermals. the thermals from this spot shift the normal air currents and weather pattens off there normal path and force them into places such as Texas they never get snow. now as for the heating part look at the glaciers in Greenland and the poles, oh and the Swiss alps. they all are showing rapid shrinkage of the ice that until recently barely shrunk at all or actually grew. people hate the idea of believing this because it could force them to change there ways or change something... its blatantly obvious if you do some actually research and look at the planet as a whole and not just specific spot that get oddly colder.

I'm wondering why nobody has mentioned the conspiracy theory that the oil companies are trying to undermine the public's belief in global warming in order to continue making record profits while destroying the environment...
