constipated boa

i was thinking a partial impaction but with shredded aspen im not sure
 
That COULD be a possibility in a small snake but unlikely. I have yet to here about or see a CINFIRMED case of impaction from aspen.

Neonate Boas are somewhat prone to constipation but he says that his snake is having "movements" so im a little confused.


Also, how can you tell from looking at a snake that it is constipated?? :confused:

the burm i had ate 3 times before i noticed she was getting fatter then i relized she had not pooped at all since i got her i still think a trip to the vet is nessicary
 
Im not conviced there is a real problem though. To be sure we need some info like.......

1. How often does the snake defficate?? Once a week, twice a week, once a month??

2. How often do you feed??

3. Is the stool solid or runny?? Color??

I have heard of dipping the mouse in codliver oil as a laxative but have never done it myself.
 
shes only pooped in her cage once and that was 3 months ago. she east once a week adult mice. i can tell because she gets fatter and fatter and then when i take her out of her cage feel her under belly u could fell the poop so i soak her then she poops and its solid the night i posted this thred i uncompacted her no bark just regular poop from a snake hard to explain i post pics if it happens agin im just worred because this is the second time its happend.
 
Try getting a hot spot in the enclosure to reach 95 degrees.

Whats the colr/consistancy of the stool??

How big is your Boa??
