I would like to drill the tank, but it is going to have to wait until the inhabitants have another place to go. I've got a tank coming in, so that should be relatively soon. Thank you for your help with this! :grinno:

You don't happen to know how to build plywood tanks, do you? :D

If, for whatever reason there is a power failure, the pump back to the tank would stop running; since the drip emitter is powered by water pressure, how would I stop my tank from overflowing?

Also, do you have any ideas on simplifying the system?

drip into the sump...

you can... but... how often the power go out in your area?

The power has never gone out in my area in the couple of months that I've lived here, but if for any reason I must be away for a couple of days, is there a way I can set the incoming water to shut off in the event of a power failure?

if you are using gravity to drain your waste water.. then you have nothing to worry about... yes... add a valve anyway.. :)

A "float" valve?

I am going to the store today to get the parts; if all goes well, I should have it built before sundown.

Is it done?

60"x18"x24.5" and most certainly is 1/2" glass. The tank is a bit less than 125 gallons, according to the calculator.

Definitely not tempered. It must be a little older of a tank. I have a 150 that had 5/8" thick glass on it. Talk about HEAVY!

Yeah, it almost killed me, trying to solo-carry this tank. Yes, it's finished. I'll post pics when I get time to take some!
