Echinodorus. Very hardy, first it lived in my 10 gal tank with just two incandescent bulbs. When it outgrew the 10 gal, I felt pitty for it and transferred it into the 220 gal. It's a real centerpiece now :)

cheers ill have a search on that, because i think it looks great, and im trying to get some ideas together for aquascaping

 murder at night thats what my old wolf used to do thing would leave every thing alone all day turn the lights off and well if could not eat it he would take some lumps out of it so i dont thing the size of the G's will help them:naughty: That will look cool a planted tank with the bad boy in it.:D

LOL! Looks great! Should be fun watching him. The tank looks great too! What and do you use anything in the bottom for the vallisineria?

Nice mal. Possibly Brazilian because of the green eyes? I had a brazilian mal, cool looking fish but not particularly aggressive and very, very inactive and fairly shy.

Joe do you really fined your one not aggressive? I had 2 they were both as you say very inactive during the day but I found my ones to be very aggressive at night the larger on I had took lumps out of every tank mate he was with knowing dam well he could not kill it:screwy:

Taz got one that is very peaceful and is on pellets. Moves more at night but no aggression unless picked on, but still nothing major. Got it last yr about 5" and now its 10-11".

Very nice, HarleyK! Good to change up the pace sometimes... love the tank and the wolf! How about posting a phull tank shot! :)

Thanks for the kind remarks, everyone :)

you gunna add other monsters?:naughty:
I will have to move in about half a year. The wolf is gonna help me ... I will have to move fewer fish ... only one :D Once I am settled in at the new place, I am sure he won't stay alone for too long ... it'd have to be something of considerable size, though ...

He is not really shy and stays near the front or the side. He changes position in the tank throughout the day but does not actively swim back & forth. Haven't seen him prey, yet. I guess I'll have to stay up with dimmed lights one of these days ;)

Okay, Here are two older shots: The first two when life was still good (January), the others after a massive plant death after a waterchange (March) followed by six red hook silver dollars (August) who helped themselves to the free salat bar :irked: It has grown back since I got rid of them this summer, but it is not back complately :(
