not too worried if they breed, they are only babies right now though. was thinking a pair of blue rams and a couple of kuhli loaches?

NO

They will kill them.
I'm not sure if you could do this in a 20, but I use giant danios as dithers in my 50, synos and blood parrots live with them though they do bother the synos at times, and the blood parrots are larger than the baby (all female) cons. I had to separate the sexes because they would not stop trying to raise babies even when it was very inapropriate.

But honestly, what I would do in your situation, is
just have a pair, and keep the babies. Unless you really try to grow them out the babies usually mature slowly in small aquaria, and a couple is fun to watch interact with each other.
Be careful though because sometimes they don't get along and wham! dead. That can happen easily with only the two fish in the tank, as they cant really get far from eachother.

ok, thanks. am gonna keep the 4 for now, and remove 2 as soon as i see any signs of breeding behaviour. the pink lighting is just a fluorescent tube, i reckon it will be fine.

I would not add anything, your tank is not big enough.

THEY SEEM TO GET ALONG(NO ONE KILLS ANYONE)WITH TEXAS CICHLLIS

Texas cichlids are great, but not in a 20g tank. They wouldn't have enough room.

A Texas gets too big for a 20 by itself. It's extremely too small for a Texas and 4 convicts. Wait until your pair forms, remove the other two, and then if you need something more try some small danios. A 20 is pretty small so dont be surprised if the Cons kill any small fish that you add. If you want more variety you will have to upgrade to a larger tank with the appropriate tankmates.

I have about 20 of them in a 29gal' all still very small, when they reach around an inch is when I will be getting rid of them. Which is happening VERY quickly. I havent had them 2 months and they are growing like wild flowers. I just put in a 6inch pleco because they are messy, he seems to be doing fine for the time being. They have already killed my 2 ghost shrimps ): I knew it would happened but not that fast.
