hello i have a 5 gallon breeding tank set up and there are 14 wigglers in there but i need something to clean the bottom. so can i get some ghost shrimp or cherry shrimp or will they eat the wigglers? i dont like oto as the eat my fry one time.

You can do shrimps no problem. There are something like 5 or 6 species that are commonly labeled for feeders as "Ghost Shrimp," so get some Cherrys, or Amano Shrimp. I have Cherrys in my convict fry tank, and everything goes great. If you see a shrimp eating the fry - I can ASSURE you, the fry died before it was being eaten. Cherry shrimp are NOT predatory, and will not kill anything other than brine shrimp, and of course algae. Some species labeled as Ghost Shrimp I've heard of killing fry, but Cherrys have a prestine record, as far as I know.

Dread is right, however sometimes I've had shrimp that ate a con fry who 'appeared' dead. Cherry's are pretty, thus looking the best, and do a pretty good job at cleaning too. Just make sure to get more than 4. Although its debateable.

Loner shrimp and smaller numbers don't always do well. The more, the better. And don't worry.. if you get 4 Cherrys, wait 5 weeks. You'll have 40.

WHAT 40 oh well i can put some in my other communitys

They breed like crazy.
