its tempting to make changes i wouldnt make sure you have a place for them to clean off or dig down into to make a nest i prefer to throw a nice chunk of driftwood they will clear a hole next to it and lay the eggs along alowing the fry to hatch and drop into the hole feed them good a couple times daily and dont disturb them with too many water changes 2 a week is sufficient

i had eggs last night for three days i wake up today no eggs but they convicts are still really protective do they keep the fry in their mouth or is my fry gone...do i need to "strip" the eggs from the female? thanks i really would be p***ed if they were gone
