She hasn't grown in the 4 months that I've had her and she sometimes has a nice orange color on her side, which reminds me of a female convict. She's a really nice addition to my tank and even though my other fish are more than four times her size, she never gets picked on.

Why is that?Chrisplosion;4754334; said:Maybe it was a king kong parrot and not a blood parrot. That would make more sense...
I dont think anybody knows where SB convicts came from. Some research suggests they came from "bubblegum parrots". The parrots that are usually dyed. Parrots are bred with pink convicts to make pale BP which are easier to dye and the SB Cons are just an anomaly that came from that and just line bred for the balloon effect or spinal condition. The other option is they were just line bred from a natural occuring anomaly which I highly doubt unless inbreeding was a primary factor. Who knows. I dont even like them, Much rather have a pure pink convict (which I do). I dont think any type of "jellybeans" are worthy hybrids.Chrisplosion;4753227; said:While they are commonly referred to as Jellybean, Jellybeans are actually short body pink convicts.
