DESTROY ALL hybrids. That is just my honest opinion. IMHO, if you want to keep them and not sell them fine, but to trade and sell them is just a disaster waiting to happen down the road.

My main issue with hybrids is that a lot of irresponsible people will breed and then sell the resulting fish and that sometimes, the resulting fish look identical to the parents. Then those fish grow and breed and dilute the orignal bloodline.

Aside from Trimaculatus, its really not a problem. If you are buying from a respectable dealer then you are getting what you want but if you are buying from say Petsmart and you are getting a Midas, chances are it has some Red Devil but you don't care or you aren't informed so its not that big a deal.

as far as pics go. bad news, my new years eve was a little harder than i planned on and i was an hour late to picking up the fishies. she had already given them away
and i know i know, it didn't happen without pics.for those still interested in there appearance i have emailed the guy who took them asking for pictures.
my description: more convict than parrot. had a body shape much like a jellybean convict. very dark overall with random barring, some had regular bars, others had random bars and spots. there mouth was barely kissy faced and only two had any pealing to orange.
I found this at my LFS in a tank with both convict cichlids and blood parrots. I believe it's a hybrid.
These are called polar blue parrots or tiger blue parrots. They are a cross between a convict male and a blood parrots female.
