Convicts are amazing.

My stupid killie ate my con fry. I had some in a breeder box. Somehow the lid got knocked off and the killie jumped in. He had a half dozen snacks.

Cons are underrated fish . lots personailty and hardy active neat fish but as you know terrors .
I was going to add some to my pond but they would wipe out my platys-swordtails so wont.
Might put a pair in smallish 45 gallon round pond they now sell at home depot
 
convicts are easy to breed.... i breed them a several times already and the only problem is the fry because the fry are a little fragile and sensitive.
 
I believe Cons are the one fish I keep getting rid of and picking up new ones shortly after :D
 
My convicts still havent made babies...Ive had the two for about a month+. Maybe they are both girls or both boys?

Females usually (like 99% of the time) have red/orange on their bellies. Males do not. Easily sexed.
 
I love watching them protect the fry. I have about a hundred in my 10 gal. Just love them its too bad some are gonna be arowana food soon.
