will pink and black convicts breed together? i just bought a black female and pink male she"s brightly colored right now and i was wondering if he will be able to do the job? whats the best temp?

Yes they will

I personally work to have my temp on my Con tanks. between 80-84...

But I have bred them in the mid 70's as well...

They will lay on the aquarium wall if that is all that is available

I just picked up a new pair... One from two different ta ks and the layed eggs after 3 days

But if you have slate that would be ideal Coffee mug too ... ANYTHING !!!

The two I just picked up layed on the under side of some lace rock

Convicts will breed in a puddle. If you don't have a clay pot, you can get one from home depot for around 1 or 2 dollars. They really prefer the pots. I had a breeding pair for around 3 years before I had to sell them. I miss them a little bit, but I don't miss the babies. lol. I might get another pair and do it again. They were the prettiest pinks I've ever seen, no stripes, all pink. Really pink.

ok in the 30gal i have put a male pink and female black. i have hob and heater from my 55gal running in there. slate, plants, and ugly coral decor on its side now its a cool cave! but no mating! waters at 80-82 and im wondering if the large hob is putting too much current in the tank. i hope pics upload:
