she already has the orange under belly. does that mean she is goin to try to lay eggs without the male?
 
no im pretty sure she wont. mine never did that when she was alone. they seem live happier with a partner but only problem is that means hundreds of little convicts
 
well my local pet shop has them for $2.99 so ther the cheapest convict i can get. so if my bichir died, i would be able to get more for pocket change.
 
if your tank is big enough i dont think they would do anything to your bichir but keep him away of their spawn site. i bred them and theyre not worth much at lfs they have too many of them.
 
its a 20 gallon long. if thats big enuf.
 
well its big enough for them to breed in but they would probably do some damage to the bichir. thats what i think but im not a bichir expert
 
the bichir would stand his ground if he had to an yea he would try to eat the fry. ill just stick with one so i dont get a massive fight one my hands. anything else u guys can think of that i should know about?
