Cool beginner fish for a 90 gallon display tank?

That is the case, but it really falls on the individual fish. I owned one for quite a while with many different fish until he was eaten. He was my favorite fish, and got along with everything.

I have had issues with lions not being able to defend their long flowing fins, and being slow swimmers, not be able to swim away. They also sleep at night, wheras my spotted grouper used the cover of darkness for night raids that eventually killed my lion.

Be careful with lions. They are peaceful, but will eat anything that can fit in their mouths. I would say one would be good for life in a 90. They make great pets, and you would not regret a species tank.

I'd leave the puffer for a species tank, not a community fish.

My blue spot loved all his tank mants, along with all my dogface puffers. They are quite different than GSP or Figure eights.
