Cool ideas for a small tank

There is not much you can do with that. I have a 2.5g with a baby blue spotted salamander...he is not aquatic though. I also have a 1g piece of plastic crap with a dareing jumping spider in it. You could make it a mini planted tank with java moss, a couple snails and ghost shrimp. Or you could always get a betta.

No way! 2 would need about 10-20 gallon.

The only thing you can do with that is get a fighting fish OR if you got balls and want something cool; make a small nano reef tank.

I like the bamboo idea, a ugf filter some bamboo and a dozen glass shrimp and the glolight tetras would fit and make a nice desk top tank, or if you want something a bit different, one corycat, and a pair of belanosox belizarius. You will need feeder guppies though. I see that you are from S. Dakota, you could leave the tank un heated and try a pair of emerald shiners or warpaint shiners from the bait shop. they are attractive and cheap.

That just reminded me, if the tank is filtered you could probably get away with an American flagfish or pygmy sunfish. Both cool fish.
