FoshowAny kind of aro is breath taking at 2 feet plus. Silvers are magnificent at large sizes.
Blacks are harder to find and the blue on the fins are nice. Jardinis get huge and the
gets the big neck at 2 feet plus too. Dont even get me started on asian aros.

so although i'm with you on this one, still snakeheads aren't ancient
Although I can't see owning a tank big enough anytime soon one ancient that alway grabs the eye is the american paddlefish.

used to have a 3ft specimen!
You can feed them flake food that is thoroughly wet if you feed brine shrimp, mosquito larvae, mysids etc at the same time. there a display tank in Bismark ND that had one. I did wonder where they got all the brine shrimp and mysids, I can't imagine raising enough to feed a couple lbs each day to one fish.
