Anyone else get annoyed when people steal your photos without permission? There is a seller on ebay using my pics of Violet Gobies. I told him we can work out a trade for a fire eel I want but, I imagine it will go unanswered. I guess I'll give them a week till I contact my ebay rep :irked:

Post a link.

Ebay will do nothing about it. Did you even have the photos watermarked?

Seriously do you really think the use of your photos, is worth you getting a fire eel :screwy:

Shoot, I think that would be awesome if someone would steal my pictures to a certain extent. I mean if someone thinks my fish look good enough that they want to take credit for them, then I must be doing something right!! Plus its always a hoot when you expose them. . . . ;)

:WHOA:

I've had this happen a few times, seen some of my fish pop up on aquabid by other sellers. Not a fan

I never said it's worth me getting a fire eel for free.. but these are the same pics that wetwebmedia.com payed me to use so no they are not watermarked as it was for an article and yes I think they are worth something.

The two sand images are mine..

if the images have been bought by another company to use then contact them and they may get into the fight cos he is using "their" images as well. he may well be breaking copyright by using them if the rights to them have already been sold to another party.

i sort of agree with Peanut though. it is a bit flattering for him to pick your photos to use for selling his stock where image is everything.

You seem to really be over reacting. As long as he doesn't claim that those are his fish or that he took the pictures, I see no problem. To be honest it's your fault that you would allow your pictures to be put in a position where they could be accessed by anyone. If you don't want your pictures to be all over the internet, don't put them there, or if you have to, I know there are ways to restrict people from copying them. Bottom line is; you need to be more careful if it's that important to you.

They were pulled from an article on wetwebmedia.com so how is that my fault? :screwy:

Anyway, I talked to the guy and things are good.
