Excellent skimmer for the price, once you get it dialed in. Get the largest you can afford.
 
I have one, and I think it is very good quality, and effective.
 
How big is your tank? I bought the CSS125 (for my 55g tank) for $127 + shipping. I think it's more now though. www.bigalsonline.com
 
If you're planning on an upgrade, then get the 125. You can't overskim.
 
i havent had the same success, i have a css125 and its been 2 months of fiddling and tinkering and bringing to the fish store and my guru until it finally worked for a week then today it started acting up again and spilling all the bubbles in the tank to the point where you couldnt c the back wall
im sick of it

No, you can get the SS65 cheaper.
 
zdoo2, I have found that adjustment takes a lot of patience. I would lower the bubbles in the intake & no bubbles would come up, so I'd raise it & it would overflow. I found if I had just waited a few hours with it lowered, it would have been fine. With that said, I wouldn't run it without the cup draining into another container (there's a plug in the bottom of the cup for that). Also, the pump should be as close to the skimmer as possible.
