discus can be hard to keep alive mainly you need to keep the tank really warm and water quality is important not a starter fish

It's not like I just started keeping fish yesterday...

Plus, most domestic breed discus are fairly tolerant of ph ranges.

but it is not diamond
it is a 90g cube :D
 
I'm going to be purchasing a tank exactly like this. I was wondering about stocking as well. I thought about using it as a grow out tank, but didn't like the footprint of it for that. I'm thinking Rams, Cories and Tetras w/ a center piece of driftwood and some rock structure along the bottom and maybe the back corner. If the bottom is not tempered I'm thinking about having it drilled so I can keep it squeezed close to the wall.
