So i just drove 150 plus miles to pick these two gals up. For reference, the styrofoam box is 26.5"s in length. Wonder what kinna bichirs they are? Will post pics in about a month once settled.
i think I had you beat. I drove all the way to SD to pick up fish. That's about 230 miles round trip. I know what those bichirs are buy I am not telling. Haha

Check out Hao's incredible looking farahna lap. I'm amazed by the different greens on these guys.
sweet looking fish.

So I got these two about a week ago. Perhaps one of the most common bichirs but rarely seen for sale at this size. Both are a solid 21"s, pushing, 22"s. I was able to choose from the group that came in..... so I picked one with great pattern/contrast, and the other with a very unique headshape and algea green color. They look very different from each other. Still settling in but took some progression pics throughout the week.

A negative thing I have to say about adding the garnet sand is my CB teugelsi is literally gorging itself to DEATH!! It just doesn't know when to stop eating!! The teug has been moved and is on the jenny craig diet!!

Also as mentioned before, when I added the garnet sand my bichirs started eating lots more where tilapia fed doubled. As they begin to settle in the garnet sand tilapia fillets have jumped to 10 fillets per feeding plus massivore!! The bio has almost tripled and so I've had to sell some of my larger top swimmers to reduce my bio.
