Corner tank shot of bichir substrate.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanx Kai..... I have some of my bichirs in there temporarily..... the left side will be for all my platinum bichirs & the right will be my pleco tank......

The overflows connect to a 55 gallon drum which is 85% filled with water which will be a moving bed k3 "reactor"..... the remaining 8"s or so are filled with pads for the mechanical part..........the water then flows into a bio tower with sintered glass which is inside a 150gallon acrylic sump underneath the stand..... I will be adding 8 LARGE pathos plants in the sump (hydroponics style) with 3watt LEDs 65000k running 12 hours a day..... still work in progress.......

Sweet. Talk about filtration i need to upgrade my filtration hahaha. Hmm I never heard of sintered glass before. Prob expensive!

As kha said. updates on the polys :DDDD and the other tank if its still up

Damn Franc, soo many nice things! You'll grow to love the pothos, currently attempting to get mine to grow into a tower-tree shape for now haha

Thank you all for the kind words. I have not left the bichir game..... I actually now have more fish than I know what to do with... My big bichirs are temporarily being housed in two 200 gallon 36" wide tanks. I have to say.... they hate it in there as they were accustomed to a longer tank...... and have had a couple of suicide jumps despite the heavy lids.

I have decided to setup a 540 gallon tank 8' × 3' × 3' with stocking surrounding my bichirs.

Stock: BICHIRS
SUPER SHORT BODY ARO
SILVER DOLLARS (MOSTLY SP. GREENS)
A FEW SELECT MONSTER PLECOS: LUTEUS, L25 7POINTER, BLUE EYES, TITANICUS, L24, L282, L600, ETC.

HOPEFULLY SETUP & RUNNING SOMETIME IN AUGUST.

All of my platinum bichirs are doing well. Hopefully I will be able to add them to the 540 in a few years. Bwahahahahaha....
