Is that Mike Tyson playing match maker?? lol. Yeah I really like that picture with the two bichirs gazing at each other..... kodak moment..... seconds later, one bit the other one.... bwahahahaha....

It is one very large & thick manzanita piece...... I then added malaysian driftwood over it using black zip ties. I also used zip ties to attach the anubias to the dirftwood.

Only pre-drilled 4 holes..... the rest did not need drilling.

Thanx...... actually I am breaking my head over a piece I am going to use with the big boys in the 540...... it has to be 4-5ft long (mid/back piece in the aquarium)....enough room for the bichirs to chill in under it..... enough perching areas for the bichirs to perch on...... but low enough where my aro can swim freely on the top...... it has to look good, weigh heavy because monster bichirs are powerful.... enough room in front for food....... and good flow throughout the tank...... ..... Since no plecos will be in that tank, I can strategically put anubias on the driftwood and try to layer many pieces of the driftwood with java fern carpet....... we'll see......

Big shout out S shua71 ..... picked up 4 bichirs last night... .there was a tiny runt in the group.... i decided to put her in my medium sized bichirs (temporary till I set up my 540).... MOST would say she will get eaten.... I say it will thrive..... what do you think? The largest bichir in that tank is about 10 times thicker than her..... there are tankmates literally in there that can swallow her whole.... any thoughts????
